 About 11 more days of school left. I `m really gonna miss it, watching our butterflys grow from caterpillar, to pupa, to butterfly, making my poster of India for social, and doing math. the thing i`m mostly gonna miss is mrs.Sahlin, mrs. Esteves and mrs.Kara. But this summer i`m definetly looking forward to camping for my birthday. we will be camping the macdonald camping resort. there they have a petting zoo, a ice cream place, a beach, and boat and go kart rentals. we`re gonna have so much fun! so, Good bye grade 3! and Hello summer!
 A few days ago me and my family watched a movie called 'The Lorax'. The moral of the story explains almost everything that the town did to our backyard. This is the story of 'The Lorax'. In this story , there is a place called ' Thneedville'. there, there were no real trees. But, two people, Ted, and another girl, still cared about trees. So, one day, Ted snuck out of town to try and find a real living tree. Then he met a man. All the trees were gone because of him. This is his story. When he was young, he lived on a farm with his mother, his father, and his 2 brothers. He had a dream, to make, and sell a 'thneed'. So he set off to find matirials for his 'thneed'. After crossing through deserts, and so many other places he found the place where the trees grow. So, he befriended the animals and fed them marshmallows. Then he cut down one of the trees, used its fluff to make a 'thneed'. Then, thunder and lightning struck the tree stump, and out popped 'the Lorax'. "The Lorax' found him harvesting the fluff off the tree. That night 'the Lorax' tried to calmly sail him away on the river, but that did not work. So the man made a promise, to never cut a tree down again. Except, when he tried to sell his '' thneed" no one wanted it. It acadentally landed on someone's head, and that person looked great using the 'thneed' as a hat. Everyone wanted a thneed, so he broke his promise and cut down all the trees. Then the environment started to change, the water became polluted soon all the animals left. Before the Lorax left , on a stone he engraved the word 'unless'. But, the man had a seed. It was the last seed. Ted snuck back into town . He planted the last seed in the middle of town. All trees started coming back. The animals came back, and so did the Lorax.The moral of the story was: unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot about something, nothing is going to get better. Thats the story of the Lorax.

 On sports day our school does activities outside. And, to help out, kids from the campus school come over to giude us through the activities . My faveorite activities were the long jump, the 3 legged race, and tug - a - war. In the long jump everyone was dashing and soaring across the sandbox. my longest jump was 190 . and in the 3 legged race
everyone was zooming for the finish line. And, I got last place, but I really don`t mind. and in the Tug - a- war it was girls against boys. and the girls lost. but, there are more boys than girls in class. And thats what we did on sports day.

 In social class I did a poster about India. in the southern plains they can grow rice beacause there is so much rain. And in the Northern plains to grow the crops the pepole depend on the monsoon.{A monsoon is a wind that brings rain.} If the monsoon brings too much rain the crops will flood away,and if there is to little rain the crops will not grow. Also in the mountains many of the people have become sucsesfull rabbit farmers because the rabbits can live at very high standards. And in the mountains many trees have been cut down. And the women wanted to save the trees. So they started the chipko movement. {Chipko means " hug"}. So every time the men tried to cut the trees down the women hugged the trees. Then the men finally started listening to them and stopped cutting down the trees. And thats what I know about india.
This month I read a new book. it is called ' Geronimo Stilton and the Bandit Cats'. If you are wondering Geronimo Stilton is a mouse who works for the rodents gazzete on mouse island. the rodents gazzete is the news paper for mouse island. In this story you would also meet Trap, Thea, and Benjamin. Trap is Geronimo`s cousin, and his faveorite thing to do is basicly is eat and make fun of Geronimo! And Thea is Geronimos sister, and her faveorite thing to is motorcycle, and help her brother with the rodents gazzete. And last but not least, there is Benjemin. Benjemin is Geronimos niece. Benjemin is always so cute his uncle Geronimo can never say no to him! and Benjemins faveorite thing to do is visit his uncle,Geronimo. In this story Trap wanted to go see a mysteious , moving, silver island. Exept it turned out it was a cat pirate ship! The cats locked the mice in thier dungon and got ready to eat them! Lucky for them Benjemin had a plan. With Geronimos pocket knife Trap filed the bars, Benjemin kept watch for cats , and to stop them from hearing them filing the bars Geronimo and Thea started singing. In the end Geronimo , Thea, Trap and Benjemin were back home on mouse island.It is a very good book. I think i`m gonna get another book tommorow!

 In daily 5 we do reading, writing, word work, and my personal favorite, technology. In technology we can work on our blogs, listen to books, and do math. In reading,we read books and get pulled out by Mrs sahlin for reading goals. In word work we get a whiteboard and write words we spell. And for writing we write things for new blog posts and write story's. And that is daily 5.
